Synergies

TESSERA

TESSERA (Towards the European Security Data Space for Innovation) is a Horizon Europe–funded project supporting the implementation of the European Data Strategy in the security domain. It conducts preparatory work towards high-quality, large-scale, trusted, and shareable datasets that underpin the vision of the European Security Data Space for Innovation (EU SDSI) and contribute to Europe’s data sovereignty. Building on identified operational use cases and associated AI technologies, TESSERA focuses on defining requirements that enable the interoperability and secure sharing of heterogeneous security datasets, while ensuring compliance with privacy, data protection, and fundamental rights.

The project also specifies key architectural aspects of the data-related national components of the EU SDSI, including user management, data access, exchange, and interconnectivity, while complementing past and ongoing EU-funded initiatives and engaging relevant stakeholders.

Detection Hub

Detection Hub is a clustering initiative that brings together EU-funded projects working on the detection of drugs, explosives, and illicit goods. By fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation, the initiative aims to strengthen research and technological advancements in security and detection capabilities across Europe.

Safe Horizon

Safe Horizon is a Horizon Europe project which aims to tackle the emerging threat of Crime-as-a-Service (CaaS) by harnessing intelligence from various sources including the clear web, deep web, dark web, public dumps, and law enforcement datasets. By integrating these data streams with machine learning technologies, the project seeks to extract actionable evidence for legal use. The initiative will provide LEAs, emergency response teams (CERTs), and computer security incident response teams (CSIRTs) with a comprehensive toolbox of under-development and enhanced open-source solutions that are designed to be user-friendly and easily adaptable.

IAMI

IAMI aims to revolutionize entity identification and resolution in security, intelligence, and investigation contexts. It addresses the challenges and limitations faced by current identification techniques and offers a visionary solution through advanced AI-powered software. The project’s long-term vision is to propel EU LEAs and security/intelligence organizations into a new era of intelligence, investigation, and forensic capabilities. IAMI’s core innovation is the development of an AI-powered software system that can seamlessly integrate with existing case management systems and analytic tools.

LEA Projects Cluster

The Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) Projects Cluster is a collaborative platform led by Privanova, that unites interdisciplinary EU-funded projects relevant to the law enforcement community. This initiative aims to foster synergy among various projects by sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices, thereby enhancing the collective capability to address the complexities of cybercrime and cybersecurity challenges.
